Corey Paull joined Hoyle and they continued the rapid scoring to keep the home side on top with the Osbaldwick bowlers and fielders having to work hard. The in form pair both batted superbly in a second wicket partnership of 131 which was ended when Johnny Rawsthorne had Hoyle caught for 77. James Calvert took a quick wicket but Jack Huddlestone (44) then provided great support for Corey Paull in a fourth wicket partnership of 94 as the runs continued to flow. Paull fired 15 fours and 3 sixes in his superb unbeaten 137 as Selby closed on a massive 293-4.
Chasing the big total the York side also scored quickly from the start but with the score on 26 Jamie Middleton had Jack Sonter (13) caught in the deep by Matt Hoyle. Selb II 92 all out, Castleford II 93-2
Selby second team travelled to league leaders Castleford II on Saturday and went down to an eight wicket defeat after a disappointing batting performance.

Iwan White hit a quick 14 but once he departed runs seemed hard to come by with wickets falling on a regular basis as they stumbled to 92 all out with Dylan Tudge doing the damage with a spell of 6-16.
The West Yorkshire side had few problems when they replied although they did lose opener Ryan Pearson (11) in the 3rd over when was bowled by Stan Bugg.
